Research Interests

The ADOOD RANCH Project
The research for my thesis is in the area of condition monitoring and object deltas in an active, deductive, object-oriented database.

CORBA and Distributed Object Oriented Programming
At Boeing, I am working on a project to integrate engineering design and analysis tools using distributed object technology and a web-based user front-end. We are using Orbix, a CORBA 2.0 - compliant ORB, C++, Java and JavaBeans components to create a sophisticated integrated tool environment that allows engineers to interact with engineering systems and databases from a Web Browser.

Component-Based Software Development
I am particularly interested in the research problems associated with allowing users to combine black-box software components at execution time.

OO Design Patterns
