DEWSC Computer Lab. USE 108

  • Warning
The lab is monitored 24 hours/day. It is forbidden to remove any object from the lab that does not belong to you.
   
  • Students
The lab is reserved to DEWSC students only. NON DEWSC students are allowed in the lab ONLY if they work on an ASU project WITH a DEWSC student. The DEWSC student is responsible for his/her guest. At no time can the guest student be in the lab without the supervision of the DEWSC "host" student.
   
  • Access
The doors of the lab are to remain closed at all times. The doors are unlocked during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00) and locked at all other times. When the lab doors are locked the eastern door can be opened using the electronic key-pad on the door. The access code in changed each semester and will be given out in class. Do not reveal  this code to others.
   
  • Class time
Classes and programmed activities have priority over individual work. Do not interrupt classes!
   
  • Food
No food or drink in open containers allowed. This disallowance includes water!
   
  • Noise
No loud speaking, noise making, music or other activities that may distract other students are allowed. The use of personal audio devices is allowed only with headphones.
   
  • Behavior
Activities that may offend others are strictly forbidden. Sexually explicit or other offensive material is strictly prohibited. Such activities will be noted on the transcript of the student.
   
  • Cleanness
The lab should be kept clean and neat at all times. Do not leave paper and office supplies in the lab.
   
  • Data management
Do not install any program on the computers. Do not leave your "junk data" on the hard drive. Remember to save your files often. Do not leave your data on the hard drive. Your files will be available to anyone who uses that computer after you. Shut down the computer each time you leave. BEWARE! A special program installed on the computers in the lab ensures that all personal data is erased from the computers when they are rebooted.
   
  • Printing
Do not leave documents in the printing queue. If for any reason your document was not printed, it is your responsibility to delete it from the queue before leaving the lab.
   
  • Paper
DEWSC does not provide paper for the printers. If the printer is out of toner, please announce the main office.
   
  • Support
For any hardware/software problem, please drop a note into the SUGGESTIONS box in the lab. Describe the position of the PC and the problem.
