RDBI Educational Tool



RDBI is an educational tool, implemented in Quintus Prolog, that takes advantage of the connection between logic programming and databases to provide an evaluator for relational query languages. The tool utilizes a common data definition facility and recognizes the following query languages: relational algebra, domain relational calculus, tuple relational calculus, and SQL.

A published paper describing the educational tool and its use, entitled "An Educational Tool for Formal Relational Database Query Languages", appeared in the journal Computer Science Education published by Ablex Publishing (Vol. 4, pp.157-184, 1993).
