Solution 4:

(i) To find VOH and VOL ;

VOH = Vdd - Vt,L = 5 -1 = 4 V

VOL = KL(Vdd - Vt,L)^2/ [ 2KL ( Vdd - Vt,L ) + 2Ko( Vdd - Vt,L - Vt,O)]

= (20/3)(5 - 1)^2 / [ (2x20/3)(5 - 1) + 80 (5 - 1 - 1)] = 0.364 V

(ii) To find VIH and Vo(IH) ;

VIH = Vt,O + 2(Vdd - Vt,L)

Sqrt( 3Ko/KL) + 1

= 1 + {8/ [Sqrt ( 18 ) + 1]} = 2.526 V

Vo(IH) = {Ko( VIH - Vt,O) + KL( Vdd - Vt,L)} / (2Ko + KL)

= {40 ( 2.526 - 1 ) + (20/3)(5 - 1)} / ( 80 + (20/3))

= 1.012V

(iii) To find VM ;

VM = Vdd - Vt,L + Sqrt( Ko/KL ) x Vt,O

1 + Sqrt ( Ko / KL )

= 5 - 1 + Sqrt ( 6 ) x 1 = 1.87 V

1 + Sqrt ( 6 )

(iv) To find VIL and Vo(IL) ;

VIL = Vt,O = 1 V

Vo(IL) = Vdd - Vt,L = 5 - 1 = 4V
