Sponsored by ASU Multidisciplinary Initiative Committee
Developing simulations in Java based on Signal Processing and Adaptive
Signal Processing applications.
http://www.eas.asu.edu/~dsp/grad/anand/demos.html
* Developed simulations in Java on the Frequency Response of Poles
and Zeros.
Displays the Magnitude and Phase Response of the System, which can
be user defined or time-varying.
* Adaptive tracking of a time varying system.
This is z-plane animation in which a time-varying pair of zeros is
tracked by an adaptive system
consisting of a pair of zeros.
* System Identification simulations in Java for different adaptive
algorithms.
This is a time-domain implementation, displaying the error signal where
an adaptive system tries to
match an unknown system. Various adaptive algorithms were implemented.
Sep.'96 - Dec.'97 Sponsored
by Intel Corporation, Chandler.
* Implemented algorithms in 'C' on single and multi-channel Adaptive
Noise Cancellation using
Beamforming and Reference techniques.
* Real-time Implementation of an adaptive noise canceller on a Pentium
Processor.
Software Engineer, Bit Bytes Computers Ltd., Madras, India.
Aug.'95 - July'96
* Implemented and tested projects in C under UNIX.
* Developed software projects in Power Builder.
Project Intern, Electronics Corporation of TamilNadu Ltd., Madras, India.
Dec.'94 - May'95
* Implemented a microprocessor based CB Radio Synthesizer.
PROJECTS
Comparison of Spectral Estimation Algorithms
Algorithms analyzed included Classical Spectral Estimation methods,
like the Correlogram and the
Periodogram estimators, Autoregressive methods including both block
and sequential data algorithms
and Eigenanalysis-based frequency estimation.
A Memory Sharing Scheme between a DSP and a Host Computer
A VHDL description of a memory-sharing scheme between a DSP mounted
on a daughter board and
a host computer was simulated using Mentor Graphics tools.
Analyzing the algorithm and working of a Sub band coder (SBC)
The project includes analyzing the working of the ADPCM, which is a
part of the SBC. The algorithms
used for adaptive quantization and adaptive prediction in ADPCM are
also analyzed in detail.
