EEE 490
Department of Electrical Engineering Senior Design Prize
- Background: In 1998, the

team of students whose capstone design project is judged to be the
semester's best.
- The Prize: The Senior Design Prize
consists of an individual trophy
and a cash award of $100 for each member of the winning design team.
The team members and their project sponsor will also have their names
added to a plaque on display outside the EE undergraduate laboratory
on the second floor of the Goldwater Center (GWC 273).
- Eligibility: Students currently enrolled
in EEE 490 Senior Design Laboratory are eligible for the prize.
- Application: To be considered for the award,
design teams must nominate their projects before noon on the Monday before

page addressed to the EEE 490 Coordinator. It should summarize
why the team believes their project is worthy of consideration for the
prize. E-mail nominations are acceptable.
- Judges: The winning project will be selected
by a committee consisting of the EEE 490 Coordinator, the Assistant
Coordinator, and the Director of Undergraduate Studies (or the
designee thereof).
- Bases of Judging: The bases of evaluation
will be: (i) the letter of nomination, (ii) the design team's final
written report, (iii) the final presentation/demonstration given in
the EEE 490 Project Fair, and (iv) comments solicited
from the project sponsor.
