Advanced Materials & Process Technology Center
The Advanced Materials and Processes Technology Information Analysis Center (AMPTIAC) is an Information Analysis Center (IAC) chartered by the Department of Defense to serve as a government and industry focal point for materials and structures including Ceramic Information Analysis Center (CIAC), High-Temperature Materials Information Analysis Center (HTMIAC), Metals Information Analysis Center (MIAC), Metal Matrix Composites Information Analysis Center (MMCIAC), and Metals & Ceramics Information Center (MCIC). Site provides information on center products and services, an online library, and online inquiries.
Biomass Resource Clearinghouse
Site provides an extensive searchable library of reports on a wide variety of biomass resources.

Bioscience-specific "hub" site providing profiles of bioscience companies, industry resources and the BioSpace Career Center.
British Columbia Health Industries Network

The Canadian Technology Network
The Canadian Technology Network links federal and provincial government labs and agencies, universities, community colleges, industry associations, technology centres and economic development agencies. Together these organizations provide innovative Canadian companies with quick and personal access to expertise, advice and information about how to meet technology and related business challenges. They also have a very powerful search engine on their site.

Electronic Frontier Foundation
The EFF online library is one of the largest collections of online civil liberties material in the world, with over 420 megabytes of material in more than 14,000 individual documents. Site offers free access to searchable indexes, alerts, links to publications and relevant groups.
Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
Site provides news on government plans for communications, the FCC's stance on critical issues and the impact of the 1996 telecommunications reform bill. Information covers a range of issues concerning interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable. Available at this site are headlines, links to offices, reports on communications related issues and legislation.

The National Inventors Hall of Fame
This is the on-line version of our book about the National Inventors Hall of Fame. It allows you to do an electronic search on inventors in the hall of fame and their inventions. This also tells how to nominate people to the Hall of Fame and briefly reviews its origins.
Patents Advice Center
This site provides UK, US, European and World Patents on CD-ROM or paper copy. Any patent documents not held can be ordered on request. Their holdings are constantly updated as new material arrives. Trademark searches are also available.
