Silicon Nanoelectronics Workshop

Honolulu, June 2006

The Silicon Nanoelectronics Workshop is held every year in conjunction with the VLSI Symposium. In even years, it is held in Honolulu, while in odd years, it is held in Kyoto, Japan. In the picture below, the committee is enjoying its typical dinner. Facing the camera, from the left are Wolfgang Porod (Notre Dame), Byung-Gook Park (Seoul National University), Shunri Oda (Tokyo Institute of Technology), and myself. Sitting with his back to the camera is Asen Asenov (Glasgow University) and to his right is his wife.

Below is a sighting of my giving a talk at the recent retirement symposium in honor of Professor Karl Hess, of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaigne. Karl is retiring to live a life of ease in Kona, Hawaii.
