Richard Adu-Asamoah : Program Manager
Richard holds a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics from Oregon University. Within NFAPP, he is responsible for the models of the perennial crops. As such, he works on apples, grapes and tree fruits, after completing work on lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower. His primary academic interests are international trade, quantitative methods and privatization in developing countries.

Tim Richards : Contributing Faculty
Tim is assistant professor in the School of Agribusiness at Arizona State University. He owns a Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Stanford and has been part of NFAPP since the beginning. His interests include econometrics, statistics and the effects of advertising. He worked on the potato model and is producer of the orange model. The grapefruit market is his next tackle.

Pieter van Ispelen : Modeling Specialist
Pieter joined NFAPP in 1994. He finished his Masters in Economics at ASU after completing his first Masters in Econometrics, Statistics and Computer Science in the Netherlands. He works on most models within NFAPP but specifically on the onion, potato, processed tomato and fresh tomato models. Besides managing the Web Pages, he is also applying a relative new field, Neural Networks, to agricultural modeling.

Albert Kagan : Principal Investigator
Dr. Kagan is the head of the NFAPP project. He holds a Ph.D. from Iowa State University. He worked in many business environments such as IBM. His interests include information technology and quantitative decision making.

Paul Patterson : Contributing Faculty
Dr. Patterson is assistant professor in the School of Agribusiness at Arizona State University. His primary interests are in the areas of international agricultural trade and marketing. His current work focuses on the strategies and behavior of firms in international markets. He holds a Ph.D. and Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. After completing his Master's degree, he worked as a commodity analyst at the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service.

Ram N. Acharya : Faculty Research Associate
Ram recently joined NFAPP. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics from Auburn University. His first assignment is the strawberry model. Ram's primary academic interests are agricultural marketing, resource management, and economic modeling - mathematical and econometric modeling.
