LABORATORY GRADING POLICY
1. Reports from all laboratory experiments are required. A student who is missing a report will receive a grade of zero for that report.
2. Coming to the laboratory is mandatory! If you write a report but did not attend the laboratory, you will receive a zero for that report.
3. It is possible (though not guaranteed) for a student to reschedule a laboratory. Rescheduling may be possible only because of vacant slots during other laboratory times. Vacant slots can be reassigned on a first come, first served basis. A laboratory can only be rescheduled during the same week as the original laboratory date. To reschedule, please see your TA. The TA's reserve the right to refuse to reschedule any student for any reason.
4. Each report will carry equal weight. At the end of the semester, the average report grade will be reported to Dr. Palais.
5. Numbers in parentheses in the Report Requirements sections indicate the total possible points for each report. The grade for each report will be the total received points divided by the total possible points.
