Introduction to MATLAB Programming for DSP (2 days)

Lecture - Hands On Training

Instructors: Andreas Spanias and Ted Painter

Participants take back to work place a complete set of notes and software

Description

This two-day MATLAB training course provides an introduction to the MATLAB programming environment for simulation and implementation of signal and multimedia processing algorithms.

Who Should Attend

The course is designed for engineers, programmers, technicians, and project managers who need to understand the use of MATLAB in engineering applications and in particular DSP and Multimedia systems.  The course will be of particular interest to those involved in the design and implementation of DSP systems that need to gain knowledge on simple software and graphics tools to perform quick simulations. The course is also useful to any individual who requires an introductory course in MATLAB programming.

Content

The MATLAB Windows Environment, MATLAB commands, loops and M-files, data structures, matrix operations, built-in functions, MATLAB graphics, using the toolboxes,  digital filtering using MATLAB, Fourier transforms and FFTs using MATLAB, Signal and Speech Processing using MATLAB,  DSP functions, least squares, system identification examples, LMS and RLS adaptive algorithms, the Simulink environment, examples.
